Auckland Sewing Bloggers

In light of our up-coming meet up I thought I’d create a button – the Auckland Sewing Bloggers Button

Everyone is welcome to put it on their blogs (but of course it would be helpful if you were living in New Zealand!) It fairly easy to put the button into your sidebar but if anyone has any tips please comments!

So go on – show your New Zealand pride!

  1. A call-out to the Auckland Sewing Bloggers – there’s a film short-film about sewing, showing at the New Zealand International Film Festival in July.

“Helmut Makes A Quilt” is scheduled to play before David Gordon Green’s feature-length film “Prince Avalanche” during the New Zealand International Film Festival . There are three screening sessions in Auckland, which are as follows:
Friday 19th July, 8.45 pm at Rialto
Thursday 25th July, 4.30 pm at Sky City Theatre
Friday 26th July, 7.00 pm at Sky City Theatre

Check out my blog for more details:

  3. Good luck with your first meet up! I know our Wellington meet ups are a lot of fun. Thanks so much for your lovely comment on my Aztec dress, its actually made from fabric which is a very fine cord. I’m pretty sure its right out of someones stash from the 70’s 😀

  4. As a solo sewist, what are the odds of non-bloggers getting in on this fun? I think its high time i met some fellow sewists in Auckland!

    1. Thank you! Your button is far more ‘fitting” to location but I’m not that skilled at button designing yet! If you know any sewing bloggers in Auckland please let them know too 🙂

      1. I cheat though because I use those kinds of graphic programs at work 😉

I will spread the word for you, I’ll knock up a post linking to you later today if you like, I’m sure I must have at least one other Auckland reader 🙂
