  1. This is nice! I do not yet have a sewing room, but my dream sewing room will have similar essentials. First and foremost, of course, being most extremely inspiring decor. Swords and shields on the walls, nice little patterns in ceramics on the floors, antique ironing board and sewing machine for tables… the list could go on for a very long time. It is so important that the atmosphere be totally “right” or one’s sewing would be a drab. For now I must content myself with Edvard Grieg and Lord of the Rings Making-of features.

  2. Hooray for new sewing rooms! Enjoy creating in there. My sewing room essential is the narrow little window sill behind my machine, where I have current cottons in use, an unpicker in permanent residence, and miscellaneous small tools (like currently a fabric glue pen). Easy, convenient, and a good visual reminder of the craft addict who inhabits this space!
